Mitsui O.S.K. Lines’ (MOL’s) core dry-cargo ship management company, MOL Ship Management has received certification of its environmental management systems, ISO 14001: 2015 and energy management system ISO 50001 from ClassNK.
- MOLShip has implemented the ISHIN project, which is a concept that aims to lower environmental impact of shipping by reducing CO2 emissions using technologies.
- To achieve certification for its environmental management and protect the ocean from vessel operations, MOL set environmental and energy targets.
- As part of its Rolling Plan 2017, MOL collects and verifies CO2 emissions and validate and maintain the reduction efforts of new technologies such as heat recovery systems and waste reduction onboard.
