Aderco Marine Fuel Additives Meet Environmental Demands

In order to meet the growing demands for a cleaner and more sustainable shipping industry, Aderco International has developed a range of fuel additives that enhance combustion to eliminate the difficulties that occur from incomplete combustion, while increasing overall operational efficiency.

Aderco’s homogenous fuel additives work to restore lubricating properties of low-sulphur fuels and protect against clogged filters, sludge and deposit build-up, allowing ships to operate more efficiently with reduced fuel consumption, lower maintenance costs and fewer emissions. A range of vegetal-organic, ashless and metal-free fuel additives are available to increase sustainability and significantly reduce long-term impact of shipping operations on the natural environment.

According to the company, the Aderco fuel additives have the highest concentration for immediate return on investment for ship owners, while also enabling a smaller footprint to reduce logistics costs.

Such technologies are increasingly important at a time where meeting greater environmental demands is key and making policy makers better aware of the industry’s existing achievements towards environmental protection, as highlighted by the new International Chamber of Shipping’s Chairman, Esben Poulsson at a recent conference held in London.

Olivier d’Olne, General Manager of Aderco Marine, commented: “With our fuel treatment competence being second to none, we are committed to satisfying very demanding customers both through innovative solutions and outstanding service. Based on a partnership for progress, it greatly assists that our fuel treatment products more than pay for themselves with the savings they generate.”
