Alfa Laval’s new AQUA Blue S-type freshwater generator claims to cut power consumption by almost 70%, compared with conventional freshwater generators.
- The system uses the same 3-in-1 AQUA technology as the original C-type configuration, but makes use of the vessel’s existing seawater cooling pumps to maximise energy efficiency and capacity to footprint ratio.
- AQUA Blue S-type is also 15% smaller than the original AQUA Blue system and because is uses the vessel’s seawater cooling system pumps, it offers a range of new flexibility options including a smaller ejector and ejector pumps.
- S-type technology configuration can be adapted to the highest or lowest water levels to deal with both higher and lower pressures.
