APL has reduced its carbon emissions by 48% in 2016 compared with 2009.
- APL’s emissions reduction has been approved by Lloyd’s Register Group according to the Clean Cargo Working Group verification protocol and ISO 14064-3:2006 standard.
- According to the company, this is APL’s seventh consecutive year of improvements.
- APL aims to reduce its CO2 emissions per container transported by 30% between 2015 and 2025 and will continue using cold-ironing and ballast water treatment to monitor and improve its environmental scorecard. `
