Speedcast, the maritime connectivity solutions satellite company, has teamed up with Danaos Peripherals, a Greek maritime software company to develop remote and autonomous IT system.
The two companies say they will launch the jointly release the shipboard systems before the year end.
In a press statement the two companies said: “The system will enable the remote deployment of 3rd party services and applications, allowing for the swift and simple implementation of new capabilities to a ship.”
