Big data and biofuels to decrease emissions for ship operator

A2B-online Container, GoodFuels Marine and We4Sea have joined forces to launch a project that will reduce the consumption of fossil fuels and CO₂ emissions from ships.

• We4Sea will monitor the ships A2B Future and A2B Comfort, collecting data on shipping speed, position, and technical operations management, weather conditions, wave heights, wind and current.
• We4Sea will map out the savings potential for A2B-online Container’s ships and GoodFuels Marine will use this to look at the replacement of fossil fuels by biofuels.
• Data will be presented on a web platform, allowing A2B-online to see the actual fuel consumption of its ships and the potential for more efficient shipping.
