Brittany Ferries orders LNG-powered newbuild

Brittany Ferries has signed a letter of intent (LOI) with German Flensburger Schiffbau shipyard for the construction a liquefied natural gas (LNG)-powered newbuild.

  • The LNG-powered ferry will help Britanny Ferries to reduce the emissions and environmental impact of its fleet.
  • The ferry is expected to be launched in 2019.
  • The contract comes shortly following the addition of marine scrubbers to six cruise ferries owned by Brittany Ferries.
