California ports commit to Paris Agreement goals

The mayors of the Port of Los Angeles and the Port of Long Beach have demonstrated their commitment to meeting the goals of the Paris Agreement and driving zero emissions ports.

  • Joint declaration signed that sets ambitious goals for cleaner air, sustainability and innovation.
  • As part of the Clean Air Action Plan (CAAP), the ports will aim to transition to zero emissions ports, investing in clean technology, reducing emissions at berth and launching a zero emissions drayage truck pilot program.
  • Mayors also launched the Green Ports Collaborative to create shared environmental standards, demonstrate future demand for zero emissions equipment and trucks and take other collaborative approaches to green ports.
