Cathelco to supply specialised hull protection systems to Royal Caribbean newbuildings

UK-based Cathelco has won an order to supply its marine growth prevention systems and impressed current cathodic protection systems to Royal Caribbean newbuildings.

  • MGPS prevent bio-fouling in sea water pipework that serve the main engines and ancillary systems.
  • The Cathelco ICCP systems will protect the underwater hull surfaces from corrosion.
  • Contract for two new Quantum class cruise ships under construction at Meyerwerft, Germany for delivery  2019 and 2020.
