Clean Marine launches compact scrubber with seven system order

Clean Marine has secured a multi-vessel contract with Inventor Chemical Tankers (ICT) to install its CleanSOx marine scrubber system to seven of its chemical tankers.

The agreement marks the launch of Clean Marine’s CleanSOx Compact Hybrid Allstream scrubber to the market place.

The compact scrubber ensures shipowners and operators will meet the IMO’s SOx regulations of a 0.5% global sulphur cap coming into force in 2020.

The scrubber benefits from an Allstream capability, which allows it to treat exhaust gas from all sources onboard vessels with no backpressure in the exhaust system. Its compact design means it can be installed where space is limited.

According to Clean Marine, the vessels CleanSOx will be installed on were built between 2015 and 2017 by Fukuoka Shipyard, Japan.
