Rederiet Stenersen AS is to receive Corvus Energy’s lithium ion based energy storage system (ESS) for its new hybrid chemical tanker.
- Orca Energy ESS will be integrated with WE Tech Solutions’ Direct Drive Permanent Magnet Shaft Generator onboard the tanker.
- ESS will permit fewer diesel generators to improve efficiency, reduce emissions and lower noise levels.
- Orca Energy specifically designed for ships that require large amounts of energy.
- Vessel will be deployed in North West Europe.
