DNV GL has been accredited by German accreditation body DAkkS to verify compliance with the EU Monitoring, Reporting and Verification (EU MRV) regulation.
- EU MRV will require shipowners and operators to monitor, report and verify their CO2 emissions based on fuel consumption.
- First phase will require shipowners to submit a monitoring plan for each ship. DNV GL has launched a free MRV monitoring plan app to help this stage.
- As a DAkkS accredited EU Maritime MRV Verifier, DNV GL will verify activities, review and approve monitoring plans and verify emissions reports.
