Eniram Launches New Ship Performance Management Solutions

Eniram have launched three new ship performance management solutions, including enhanced speed optimisation and optimal routing solutions, and performance data analytics software for cruise ships.

Speed Optimisation

The speed optimisation solution Eniram Speed 3.0 is an upgraded version to Eniram Speed 2.0 that is said to further reduce ship fuel consumption and emissions by taking into account factors like the prevailing weather, weather forecasts, required engine loads, as well as squat, speed restrictions and Emission Control Areas (ECAs).

Speed 3.0 includes new features such as combined sea current and tidals, map assisted route setup, map assisted USB route uploading and Furuno FMD ECDIS support. Real weather forecasts are now also supported for cruise ships. Eniram expects that the new enhancements will allow ship operators to better plan, operate and maintain timely voyages and to save between 2-6% in fuel consumption.

Optimal Routing

Eniram Fleet Route KPIs is Eniram’s new solution designed to provide additional energy efficiency optimisation by flagging performance deviations and monitoring specific performance parameters. A breakdown of propulsion power data can be used to pinpoint areas of energy loss due to affects such as changing weather conditions, including wind and sea state.

The solution is delivered via Eniram Fleet, a proprietary web-based application that enables ship owners and operators to gather, store and analyse data such as fuel consumption per engine, engine power, speed-power and liquefied natural gas (LNG) tank data across an entire fleet.

Cruise Ship Performance Management

The third new solution is Eniram Performance 3.0, an upgrade specific to the cruise industry.

Eniram Performance is a robust decision-support tool that offers real-time operational guidance to optimise a ship’s overall energy management in order to save fuel. The system predicts required energy and fuel consumption taking into consideration a wide range of variables such as wind and currents for each specific voyage.

The upgraded version provides an intuitive widget that offers optimal operational guidance, KPI view, KPI integration for the onshore fleet, and a visual energy tree which reveals expected and actual fuel consumption for the whole voyage both in monetary and Megawatt-hours (MWh) values.
