Marine Fuel Recycling Tech Gets Cash Injection from Award Subsidy

Ecoslops’ innovative technology that upgrades ship-generated hydrocarbon residues, or “slops” into new fuels and light bitumen has been recognised by the French Government and ADEME (the French Environment and Energy Management Agency) for its optimisation of technical, economic and environmental performances in the circular economy.

The French company emerged as the winner of a call for projects in the SME Initiative “Recycling and Recovery of Waste”.

Fitting this criteria, Ecoslops’ project on 3D digital modelling and modularisation of equipment for the recovery of slops was selected by ADEME, and as a result, will be eligible for a subsidy.

Vincent Favier, Chairman and CEO of Ecoslops, commented: “This important award highlights the need for accelerating the development of technologies and services with strong potential for the circular economy, such as the one developed by Ecoslops. It will enable us to develop a 3D digital model that standardises and modularises the design and the construction of our industrial units, in order to make them even more competitive and to accelerate the Time to Market; two fundamental factors in an evolving oily residues treatment global market”
