NCL inks deal with Foreship for ballast water compliance

Foreship has signed a contract with Norwegian Cruise Line to design and engineer five post-ballast water convention treatment systems that are IMO compliant.

  • Contract covers naval architecture and marine engineering consultancy services.
  • Foreship has already carried out a feasibility study on the Norwegian Dawn and will now carry out the same service for the Norwegian Pearl, Sky, Jade, and Spirit.
  • Full work will include mechanical and electrical design to DNV GL requirements, diagrams for BWTS foundation support structures, piping, routing, machinery arrangements, cabling diagrams and systems integration.
