New business model to develop FLNG field

International energy consultancy provider, Add Energy, has partnered with Transborders Energy, TechnipFMC and MODEC to create a business model to discover and free-up small-scale natural gas resources around the world.

  • The business model will deploy a small-scale floating LNG vessel to target gas resources of 0.5-2 trillion cubic feet of gas.
  • The vessel will be used to help understand the size and potential of gas resources. Add Energy will manage the drilling, maintenance, safety and risk management of the projects.
  • Small-scale gas resources have little value to their current owners because they are usually in remote locations where tieback capital is expensive or lack an economically viable development concept.
