Plan B Energy Storage (PBES), provider of marine battery solutions, has launched its Harpoon battery product line, which cuts battery cost, weight, and volume by 35% according to the company.
- Harpoon Power 65 and Harpoon Energy 97 use advanced lithium-ion cell technology, providing energy for 90,000 hours.
- Harpoon Energy 97 is particularly suited to cruise ships and fast ferries where storage is limited as it is PBES’ most weight-efficiency energy storage system, according to the company.
- Harpoon Power 65 can give more than 15,000 cycles at 80% depth of discharge, making it suitable for applications where more power is needed for longer in remote locations.
