SeaCURE ballast water management has completed tests for type approval by the United States Coast Guard.
- SeaCURE, manufactured by Evoqua Water Technologies, underwent supervised testing by Lloyd’s Register at the independent laboratory NSF International.
- The electrochlorination-based BWMS was tested in brackish waters and freshwater. Shipboard testing took place around the globe.
- Results have been presented to the USCG and approval is expected before the end of the calendar year.
