Turbochargers Gain ISO Approval

Napier Turbochargers has achieved accreditation to ISO 14001:2004, an internationally agreed standard that sets out the requirements for an environmental management system.

The certification of ISO 14001 to Napier Turbochargers recognises that Napier has an effective environmental management system in place and takes its environmental and waste generation responsibilities seriously, while meeting and exceeding stakeholder expectations for sustainable growth and CSR.

ISO 14001 helps to improve environmental performance through more efficient use of resources and reduction of waste in order to acquire the trust of stakeholders and to gain a competitive advantage. It enables organisations to identify, manage, monitor and control their environmental issues in a holistic manner and includes the need for continual improvement of an organisation’s systems and approach to environmental concerns.

Napier made the initial commitment to achieve accreditation in February 2015.  Following an extensive project and a week-long audit, the application was approved by BSI group and accreditation was achieved.

The certification also marks consistent delivery, reduction in errors and re-work, reduced use of raw materials, and production of less waste, and positive commercial benefits to both the organisation and its clients.
