Wärtsilä is to supply two of its marine scrubbers for a new Korean ferry.
- Scrubbers will be open-loop, designed to remove sulphur oxides from the exhaust gas.
- RoPax ferry to feature the scrubbers will be built by Hyndau Mipo Dockyard for Weidong Ferry.
- Ferry of 31,000 GT will sail between Korea and China and will comply with the 2020 global sulphur cap with the system installed.
