Buzz Networks has launched its new CrewCode service to increase communications from ship to shore via a Wi-Fi management service.
- Operators or crew can receive a voucher for fixed amount of data that they can use onboard to help stay connected with those onshore.
- This can help with crew retention as it facilitates better communication with friends and family at home and therefore enhances crew welfare.
- CrewCode can use 3G/4G networks up to 20 miles offshore or switch to VSAT when further afield without an interrupted connection.
