Nuclear power has resurfaced as a potential marine fuel as new technologies emerge to make it cheaper and more adaptable for a commercial shipping environment.  While the safety perception has to be dealt with there is the fact it has a potential role in the decarbonisation of shipping, either as a fuel itself, or a pathway to generating  electricity for other marine fuels.
