Alfa Laval is to display the latest LNG fuel specific addition to its FCM One family high performance booster systems that enable smooth automatic control of fuel pressure to reduce energy consumption at any load.
The FCM One Gas is a complete fuel gas supply system for engines equipped with high pressure ME-GI technology and will be featured at the SMM trade show in Hamburg this week. It features an LNG vaporiser, the printed circuit heat exchanger (PCHE), which is compact and handles cryogenic temperatures and pressures up to 650 bar(g) to create high thermal efficiencies while saving space and encouraging module flexibility.
According to the company, the operation of the new system will not feel dissimilar to previous Alfa Laval fuel conditioning systems in terms of the modular design and the graphical interface.
