Spanish companies Repsol and Enagás have carried out a transfer operation of liquefied natural gas directly from the Enagás regasification plant in Cartagena, Spain to an asphalt tanker.
- 370m3 of LNG was transferred using flexible cryogenic hoses that connected the Damia Desgagnés tanker directly to the terminal.
- Repsol provided the fuel and Enagás managed the infrastructure.
- Transfer of LNG was part of the CORE LNGas Hive project cofounded by the European Commission.
