Ecoslops, the developer of technology that turns marine oil residues into recycled marine fuels and light bitumen, has signed an agreement with TOTAL Group to set up an oil residue waste processing plant in La Mède, France.
- Ecoslops will build and operate the micro-refinery in La Mède, near Marseilles in the Bouches-du-Rhône, while TOTAL will provide services and all necessary utilities.
- Building of the unit is expected to start during the second quarter of 2018 and should be operational by the end of 2018.
- Agreement comes following technical and commercial studies, which commenced last year.
