Wärtsilä dual-fuel engines selected for LNG Carriers

CSSC Wärtsilä Engine has been selected to provide 16 dual-fuel engines for four new liquefied natural gas carriers.

• Four vessels, each with 174,000m³ capacity, will be fitted with four Wärtsilä 34DF dual-fuel engines.
• Wärtsilä 34DF generating sets will primarily run on LNG, giving a power output of 56MW in total.
• Vessels are being built at the Hudong Zhonghua shipyard in China and are expected to be delivered in 2019.
