The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore has signed an agreement with Shell Eastern Trading to co operate on research and development and test-bedding of projects within the areas f clean fuel technology, automation and digitisation.
Under a memorandum of understanding the MPA and Shell will co-operate in developing solutions to reduce emissions in the port, explore greater use of automation in the port, and both will support further studies and development of digitalisation efforts.
The latter will include electronic data exchanges among various stakeholders, to enhance safety, efficiency and security of maritime communication.
