ACL has announced that they have taken delivery of its third new RoRo vessel in the G4 fleet the Atlantic Sea.
The G4 vessels are the first of their kind and the largest multipurpose RORO/Containerships ever built and are greener and more efficient than their predecessors. Emissions per TEU are reduced by 65%.
They incorporate an innovative design that increases capacity without significantly changing the dimensions of the vessel. The G4 vessels’ container capacity is more than doubled at 3800 TEUs, with 28,900 square meters of RORO space and a car capacity of 1300+ vehicles.
The Atlantic Sea will be registered in the United Kingdom alongside its sister vessels Atlantic Star and Atlantic Sail.
