Finnish ship operator Finnlines has signed a performance agreement with Alfa Laval to optimise performance of its PureSOx scrubber systems.
- Performance agreement covers the PureSOx marine scrubbers installed onboard seven RoRo vessels, which operate in the Baltic Sea Emission Control Area (ECA).
- Six-year agreement will ensure continuous performance maintenance of the systems, which must reduce sulphur down to 0.1% maximum to comply with the regulation in ECAs.
- Yearly condition audits will take place to provide insights into the functioning of the systems, enabling any issues to be addressed to prevent an unplanned shutdown.
