Anglo-Eastern opens BWM training facility in the Philippines

A new ballast water treatment training facility in Manila, Philippines, has been opened by Anglo-Eastern Ship Management.

  • Optimarin has provided its ballast system, including a special pump house and piping to the facility, which also includes classroom-based learning environments.
  • Saga, which has installed OBS systems throughout its fleet of 32 vessels, provides logistics support for the project.
  • The centre will give hands-on experience and technical leaning sessions to students and employers, helping to increase awareness of the technology, maintenance and operational issues.
