American Petroleum Tankers (APT) has taken delivery of the first of four next-generation product tankers that incorporate fuel efficiency features.
The 50,000 DWT product tanker, American Endurance, has received liquefied natural gas (LNG) Ready Level 1 approval from ABS. The vessel has been based on an environmentally friendly design concept developed by Hyundai Mipo Dockyards that means not only does it have fuel efficiency features readily available, but it also has a number of flexible cargo solutions and has been designed with the latest regulatory requirements.
The ship was delivered from Philly Shipyard, Inc. Construction of the three other product tankers has begun.
