Bureau Veritas has joined the Global Industry Alliance during a ceremony in Singapore today.
- BV will provide support to the GIA on a range of topics including the understanding of hull structures, digitalisation, gas fuelled and hybrid systems, and R&D.
- 17 companies have now signed up to join the GIA, which will work within a framework established by Global Maritime Energy Efficiency Partnership (GloMEEP) Project.
- GIA will support improving energy efficiency of ships by identifying and developing solutions to address common barriers and promote the uptake of energy efficiency technologies and operational measures.
