Carnival Corporation & plc has released its 2016 sustainability report along with a new dedicated sustainability website.
- Report confirms the company is ahead of schedule to meet its carbon reduction goals across 10 of its cruise brands over the next three years.
- It has so far achieved a 25% reduction in CO2e relative to 2005 baseline, has introduced the first ever LNG-fuelled cruise ship and installed marine scrubbers to 59% of its fleet. 40% of the fleet is equipped with cold ironing capabilities.
- New dedicated sustainability website provides updates on 2016 progress using videos and graphics and lists its 2020 goals for customers and other stakeholders to easily view.
