Carnival’s scrubber technology fitted to 60 vessels

Carnival Corporation’s scrubber technology, which reduces sulphur oxides emissions, has been installed on 60 ships to date across its various brands.

  • According to Carnival, the installations represent a US $400 million investment. By the end of 2020 the company expects to have installed the technology on 85 vessels.
  • Installations have been made to Carnival, Holland America, Princess, Costa, AIDA ad P&O Cruises
  • Scrubber technology meets the 0.1% sulphur cap in Emission Control Areas and has been designed to meet the restricted space onboard cruise ships.
