ClassNK has appointed a new Executive Vice President and Executive Director, Dr Toshiyuki Shigemi.
- Yasushi Nakamura has stepped down as Senior Executive Vice President and has been appointed as an Advisor to the Society.
- Shigemi has been with ClassNK since 1981 in various roles including plan approval, research, on-site surveys and General Manager of the Development department.
- Shigemi graduated from the Department of Naval Architecture, Hiroshima University in 1981, and received his Doctorate of Engineering from Osaka University in 2003.
