ClassNK has released an R&D Roadmap that details its visions and goals for the next five years.
The roadmap outlines ClassNK’s R&D activities and details investigations and research associated with core technologies.
The two key aims of ClassNK’s R&D are:
- To improve ship safety – marine environmental protection.
- Innovation of marine technology through advanced IT.
Main focus areas for R&D over the next 5 years include rule development, survey technology innovation, marine environmental protection, and revolutionary technology development.
ClassNK will collaborate with universities, research institutions, and the industry to execute the R&D Roadmap together with contributions from the further development of human resources.
