ClassNK has released its latest guidelines on exhaust gas cleaning systems (EGCS).
- Guidelines are an update to the previous ones released in 2014 and are based on joint research and testing on real EGCS.
- Second version of the guidelines give updated information on the IMO’s regulation on SOx emissions and includes standards for installation of EGCS on ships and during trials.
- Guidelines, which are free of charge, include requirements for obtaining class notations to signify that a ship fulfils requirements for the installation of EGCS.
