Coldharbour and Hansun sign marketing and distribution contract ahead of BWM convention

Hansun Marine Technology, Shanghai, is to market and distribute Coldharbour Marine’s in-tank, in-voyage and inert gas-based ballast water treatment systems in mainland China following an official agreement.

The contract is part of the companies’ preparations to prepare for the IMO’s ballast water management convention, which enters into force September 8.
Hansun reports that adding Coldhabour Marine’s insert gas, flue gas, BWTS and domestic water module to its product lines will improve its position as a provider to the Chinese market.
Agreement marks the first step in a plan that will see Hansun manufactur Coldharbour units at its facilities in Qi Dong, and Coldharbour offer Hansun products to its customers outside China.
