For the second consecutive year, Corvus Energy has received the ‘Supplier of the Year’ award at the 2016 Electric & Hybrid Marine Awards, held at the Electric & Hybrid Marine World Expo from June 21-23 in Amsterdam.
This week Corvus Energy launched its new Orca Energy Storage Solution (ESS) product line, which aims to reduce power consumption and emissions. The company also confirmed the first two orders for the Orca ESS one for a research vessel and one for a fish farm support vessel.
The Electric & Hybrid Marine Awards honour the world’s finest engineers, innovations and products in the electric and hybrid marine arena, with the awards decided upon by a panel of industry experts.
Andrew Morden, Corvus Energy President & CEO, who received the award, commented: “We at Corvus are extremely delighted to have been selected once again as Supplier of the Year by the judging panel. Although it has become an industry full of new entrants, our determination and experience in building the best marine ESS products has been consistently recognized by industry experts”.
John Snyder, awards panel judge and editor-in-chief and publisher, Marine Log, commented: “It’s been another banner year for Corvus Energy. It’s hard to find a hybrid or electric marine power project that they don’t have a hand in”.
Corvus Energy has deployed more ESS solutions into maritime applications than anyone else in the industry and has over 50 vessels and over 35MWh installed.
