Corvus Energy’s Orca Energy Storage System has been selected by Wärtsilä to provide battery power to the Eidesvik Viking Princess.
- Lithium-ion ESS will be retrofitted to the offshore platform supply vessel.
- Viking Princess is the second vessel to use Corvus’s ESS fllowing successful use on th Viking Lady.
- Orca Energy will be installed as a hybrid arrangement, replacing one LNG genset. This will reportedly save 1 tonne of fuel per day.
