D’Amico International Shipping S.A. (DIS) Italy, has launched two new eco-ships in Vietnam as part of a USD 755 million investment plan that the company launched in 2012.
Cielo di Capri, an Ice Class vessel, and Cielo di Hanoi are both 39,000 DWT Handysize Product Tankers.
Taking place at the Hyundai Vinashin Shipyard Co. Ltd, Vietnam on May 16, the ships were launched in the presence of the Consul General of Italy in Ho Chi Minh City, Carlotta Colli. The launch of the eco-ships reaffirms the countries strategic partnership and the cooperation between Vietnam and Italy, while marking the presence of d’Amico in Southeast Asia for fifteen years.
