Digital Marine Solutions (DMS), has completed an acquisition of the assets of the Marine Division of Boeing Company, Jeppesen.
Under the terms of the agreement Jeppesen Marine will operate as a separate entity with dedicated resources but will trade under the C-MAP brand name, while Jeppesen will remain as part of The Boeing Company. The new organisation will focus on maintaining sales and services to customers that already purchase from C-MAP/Jeppesen Marine across its recreational, commercial marine and fleet sectors. Following on from this, C-MAP’s long-term goal will be to grow the company along with the expanding digital marine market to deliver an enhanced portfolio of services to the industry.
Customers of C-MAP will benefit from continuous supply and access to an enhanced range of high-quality electronic navigational charts, information solutions and added value support.
Leif Ottosson chairman of Digital Marine Solutions commented: “We believe that C-MAP is very well positioned to take a leadership position in the dynamic and developing market for digital content and services. We are very excited about future C-MAP partnerships and growth opportunities across both the recreational and commercial marine market.”
