The classification society has announced that its ECO Insight software has been upgraded to offer new functionalities, including a range of new analytical and reporting features.
They say that the new features enable shipowners to manage a greater volume of vessel data than ever before, with more frequent and higher quality results.
Data collection sits at the core of ECO Insight. The latest version has taken advantage of the many projects using DNV GL’s in-house, customer, and third party data collection systems. In fact, the class society boasts the largest single performance management group in the shipping industry thanks to its growing user community. The data from this group and their feedback is what this new version of ECO Insight has been developed upon.
DNV GL’s Head of Performance Management has said that their input into product development and innovation has resulted in many new and enhanced features. For example, the last year has proven that ECO Insight can integrate sensor and auto-logging data. DNV GL says that it was this sensor and auto-logging that they used to provide more transparent and actionable data reporting and analytics.
ECO Insight now offers a new alert service that points operators to key fleet performance metrics on a daily basis. A new start page presents all of the key performance figures on one screen. A monthly fleet performance review report is also available on request.
ECO insight was launched in 2015 and over 750 vessels use the portal.
