Ecochlor is the fifth company to receive type approval from the United States Coast Guard for its ballast water treatment system.
- BWTS comprises a two-stage filtration and chlorine dioxide treatment process, requiring no neutralisation or treatment on discharge.
- System can be used with all water types and salinities and has a typical power consumption of 12kWh for 8,000m3/hr.
- The modular system boasts a small footprint with pressurized double wall storage tanks, flow controls and a vacuum mixing chamber where the chlorine dioxide is generated on-demand.
