Ecoslops, the developer of technology to turn marine oil residues into recycled marine fuels and light bitumen, has attributed its successful past year to a boost in its micro-refining core activity.
- The company reported an increase in sales from EUR 2.3 million in 2015 to EUR 4.2 million in 2016, treating more than 17,000 tonnes of waste.
- It says this is due to a number of collaborations and projects developed following demand for sustainable treatment of residues.
- Plant at the Port of Sines, Portugal is operating at more than 50% full capacity and expects to reach 85% (25,000 tonnes) over the course of 2017.
