Ecospeed hull coating has shown good results onboard the logistics and scientific research vessel, the Ernest Shackleton.
- Coating was applied in 2009 and during drydocking last month the hull was found to be in very good condition with less surface area repair needed that expected.
- Despite the vessel sailing in waters with heavy Antarctic ice, only a touch up of the bow and rudder areas were needed in 2015.
- Following the success of the coating on the Ernest Shackleton, Ecospeed will be applied to the hull of the polar research vessel, Sir David Attenborough.
