MAN Diesel & Turbo has granted approval of Langh Tech’s water treatment system, which is used for cleaning exhaust gas recirculation systems.
- EGR is used for reducing formation of nitrogen oxides to comply with IMO Tier III requirements.
- Water treatment system will be used to clean the water from the exhaust gas washing that takes place using the EGR. Membrane filtration is used to reduce compact dry sludge waste.
- Approval includes a long-term testing period.
