Ballast water technology innovators, ERMA FIRST have become the recipients of the GREEN4SEA Technology Award due to their technological achievements for ballast water management.
The Award category was to honour any person or company that provided a significant technological achievement or breakthrough or significant contribution in any aspect of environmental maritime activity.
ERMA FIRST have created a new generation of ballast water management system ‘ERMA FIRST FIT’ that uses a 40 microns automatic backwashing screen filter and has a small footprint and design for installation into limited spaces
Other nominations for the Technology Award category included: Arista & DeltaMarin, Clean Marine, Hullvane and Thordon Bearings.
The Awards ceremony was held during the GREEN4SEA Forum on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at the Eugenides Foundation.
