Evoqua Water Technologies has been awarded with Type Approval certification from DNV GL following the assessment of their ballast water treatment system (BWTS) SeaCure.
The SeaCURE BWMS is based around three main pillars of filtration, electrochlorination and control logic. Utilising a Chloropac electrolyser, the system produces hypochlorite through the electrochlorination process to provide effective ballast water treatment.
Matt Granitto, business manager for ballast water treatment, said: “We are very proud that our BWMS has received DNV GL type approval. This certificate is a benchmark standard for marine equipment that will provide assurance to our customers as to the quality and safety of SeaCURE.”
