Golar LNG has opted to use BASSnet software to manage its fleet of 23 liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers.
The BASSnet software is a ship management solution that allows an entire organisation to share the same data, allowing management to identify and deal with problems using best practises.
Golar Management, the ship management unit of Golar LNG, will use BASSnet Fleet Management System to align its asset management, maintenance program and purchasing processes for endorsement by oil majors and charters.
BASSnet also ensures that all data and governing documents are kept up-to-date at all times, helping ship managers such as Golar to streamline their operations.
